Miller & Carter Steak

It might seem like an odd question, but many customers have asked: Does Miller & Carter accept cash payments?

Miller & Carter supports card payments, contactless options like Apple Pay and Google Pay, and PayPal, while still accepting cash at many locations.

While Miller & Carter do accept cash payments, they encourage the use of card and contactless payments for convenience and hygiene reasons.

The exact policy may vary by location, but you will find very few where cash is not accepted at all. Cash can also be used to provide a tip to employees and waiting staff.

Miller & Carter gift cards are accepted like cash at their venues but cannot be exchanged for cash. The gift cards can be used multiple times until the balance is fully spent.

Regarding deposits for table bookings, deposits are non-refundable and contactless payment is preferred to minimize cash handling, but cash is not outright prohibited.

Miller & Carter Accepted Payment Options

The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Visa, Mastercard, Maestro (credit and debit cards)
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • PayPal
  • Cash

Miller & Carter accepts contactless card payments up to £100 using the following methods – Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro.

They do not accept American Express as a payment method.

Dining Out gift cards are also accepted, so long as they are valid for Miller & Carter and other brands from parent company Mitchells & Butlers.

Payment For Miller & Carter Pre-Bookings

Miller & Carter’s terms are that table bookings must be made online, with an email of confirmation sent from the restaurant.

To secure booking for larger parties, a non-refundable deposit may be required. That might also be the case on certain dates and during busy periods. For festive and special dates, higher or per-person deposits may apply.

The deposit you pay to secure your bookings or reservations is typically deducted from your bill.

Payment methods accepted for pre-booking deposits include major credit and debit cards (VISA, Mastercard, Maestro), Apple Pay, PayPal, and in many locations contactless mobile payments.

For groups of eight or more, Miller & Carter automatically charges a discretionary 10% service fee with all tips going to staff.

Miller & Carter terms and conditions stipulate that pre-booked tables are held for 15 minutes past your scheduled time, so be sure to arrive on time for your booking.
